Realtime information for some time is an issue already to get information and by this, too, an issue to the search engine business. Already a couple of weeks there have been rumours regarding possible partnerships.
That it happens is most remarkable regarding most diverse news about the growth of Twitter lately. Some sources told that the growth of Twitter is slowing or even retrogressive, which Twitter answered by referring to unmeasured mobile access and unmeasured access by thousands of apps and client software developed for this purpose. Too, it is remarkable and confirming the importance of Twitter, that both Bing and Google already have experiences with the usage of information provided by Twitter.

Bing is Bringing Twitter Search to You
Twitter pointed to a special url of Bing featuring results based on Twitter located at bing.com/twitter. For now this search engine is not available internationally, at least not everywhere.
Statement by Google
RT @google: Tweets and updates and search, oh my!
According to the statements Google has another approach than Bing by integrating information provided by Twitter into regular search results. A feature, which is already available for a while and which is most obvious by restricting search results to a period of time using the enhanced search options.
