Hyperlocal Targeting at Mobile Advertising

PlaceIQ has a new approach to mobile advertising. As the name of the service suggests data about places aka locations are gathered and made usable for targeting. The gathered data do describe locations and typical activities at these locations. Examples of data are events and social demographic data but also photos or trends, which are available in unstructured form and become processed to enable hyperlocal targeting down to particular blocks.

The targeting itself may be related to typical activity at a location and even typical daytime activities. By being anonymous the targeting method provided by PlaceIQ does not concern privacy issues.
