Two big players have launched new mobile code services, which may be used by everyone. Visual mobile codes are able to deliver information to mobile phones. This is done by scanning these codes by equipped smartphones and sources linked to the codes. A popular coding technology is called QR Codes (Introduction to QR Codes).

The first one is Microsoft with a service called Microsoft Tag. The Microsoft Tag solution consists of colored codes. To read these codes there is a special reader needed.

Ricoh Innovatons is the second services. This application is called iCandy and consists of an original QR Code Solution. iCandy codes may become integrated into websites or print media and readed by webcams.
