Realtime data is without doubt a hot trend. This is due simply because of the internet being the top medium for information.
Now Google has introduced a realtime feature, which is available at the enhanced search options. The search now may become defined by a period of time down to results of the last 24 hours. A test with own blog posts has shown good results.
A further realtime search engine still in beta but already introduced to the market by featuring two popular topics is Collecta. Actually the service is demonstrating its abilities by streaming realtime results for the terms Obama and Swine Flu
(This is a revised post. The formerly mentioned case related to Twitter posts has been deleted to avoid confusions. If you have read the former post and have been interested, it simply needs to be added that the Twitter post by the visitor has been indexed but not the own one.)
