The new social search engine Kurrently is searching through Facebook and Twitter status updates in realtime. The Next Web has testet the search engine and reports about speed and reliability beyond Twitter’s own search engine and the big search engine players.

The interface of the search engine has a typical and simple form. After the input of a query the results appear by a currently updated news stream of relevant Facebook and Twitter posts. To ease the following of popular issues a control has been implemented to change the speed of the news stream. Furthermore Facebook and Twitter status updates may be accessed seperately.

For the purpose to subscribe to a query aka the news stream a newsfeed is generated. Exceptionally and opposed to other social search engine the newsfeed is not free, but users are able to choose the amount they like to pay for the service. Further information is available by the article of The Next Web and at the Kurrently homepage.
